About These Teaching Modules
This section of the site features modules developed by students in Temple University's secondary education program as part of a collaboration with Greenfield Digital Center Advisory Board member Christine Woyshner and the Cultural Fieldwork Initiative. For more on this project, see "The Cultural Fieldwork Initiative: Collaboration for Better Education" by Christine Woyshner, Andrea Reidell, and Marc Brasof in The Journal of American History (March 2013).
Each teaching module encourages students to examine visual and textual evidence for evaluating historical arguments and weighing evidence to develop their own interpretations of the history of women's education. They are aimed at the high school classroom, drawing on primary sources held by Bryn Mawr College Special Collections.
